About Genealogy of the Brooks
Tracing the Ancestors of Charles and Kathy Brooks.

His parents were Mary Ella Thornton and James Edgar Brooks Jr. His
grandparents were Bessie Mae Hood and Milton Elijah Thornton; Susie Mae Cooper
and James Edgar Brooks.

Her parents were Anne Alice Carter and Frankie Lavern Cochran. Her
grandparents were Alice McClain and Cecil Earl Fenn Carter; Luella Ellen
Coonfield and Frank Delbert Cochran.

All of their grandparents ended up in downtown Montgomery Alabama residing
close together, near the railroad station, close to the Alabama River.

Ironically Mary Ella took in and cared for Cecil's stepmother Eva Dakota Fenn
at some point when Charles was a baby in the 1950s.

Prior to this, in the 1850s, they had another connection in Hope Hull,
Montgomery County, Alabama when Susie's great grandfather Thomas Carter married
his first wife Lacy Bozeman. Alice McClain's mother was also a Bozeman.

So round and round we go through a huge family circle of loved ones.
